The PL-01 is designed to elevate a rolled steel tie plate to the rail base so retainer clips can be applied. It is able to do this with or without a tie attached to the plate. The PL-01 can be moved forward or backward to line the tie into position. It also works well around and in switch turnouts when working with switch ties. Requires only one person to operate.
